...is stored exclusively on your device. We have no access to this data, and it is never transmitted to any external servers.

All data remains on your device and is used solely to provide app functionality:

• Notes: Stored locally for you to create, edit, and organize
• Settings: Stored locally to remember your preferences
• Backups: Created and stored locally on your device

We use flutter_secure_storage for encrypted local storage. Your data is stored using Android's encrypted shared preferences.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties.

Since we do not collect any data, there is nothing to share. Your notes and personal information never leave your device unless you explicitly choose to export and share a backup file.

5. Data Security

We take security seriously:

• Encryption: All sensitive data is encrypted using flutter_secure_storage
• Local Storage Only: Data never leaves your device
• Internet Permission: Used only to display our privacy policy within the app

Your security is ensured by keeping all data local and encrypted on your device.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is stored locally until:

• You delete individual notes within the app
• You use the "Clear All Data" option in Settings
• You uninstall the app from your device
• You clear the app's data from your device settings

When you delete data or uninstall the app, all associated data is permanently removed from your device.

7. User Accounts

No accounts required.

PocketNote does not require any form of user registration, login, or authentication with external services. There are no user accounts, email verification, or identity tracking of any kind.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

PocketNote does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age.

Since we collect no data whatsoever, there is no risk of inadvertently collecting children's data. The app is safe for users of all ages.

9. Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: All your data is accessible within the app
• Portability: Export your notes anytime using the backup feature
• Deletion: Delete individual notes or all data at any time
• Control: You decide what to create, keep, or remove

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full ownership and control.

PocketNote does not integrate any third-party services.

• No analytics (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
• No crash reporting services
• No advertising networks
• No social media SDKs
• No cloud storage integrations

The app is completely self-contained and does not communicate with any external services.

11. App Permissions

PocketNote requests minimal permissions:

• INTERNET: Used only to display our privacy policy within the app via WebView. No other network activity occurs.

Permissions NOT requested:

• ❌ LOCATION - No location tracking
• ❌ CONTACTS - No contact access
• ❌ MICROPHONE - No audio recording
• ❌ BIOMETRIC - No biometric features

Our Google Play Data Safety declaration accurately reflects this privacy policy:

• Security practices: Data encrypted in transit (N/A - no transmission), Data encrypted at rest (Yes - local encryption)
• Data deletion: Users can delete their data (by uninstalling or clearing app data)

Since we don't collect email addresses or any contact information, we cannot notify you directly of changes. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically.
